LWW - Edmund was the second Pevensie to step through the wardrobe, where he met the White Witch. Using enchanted Turkish Delight (which makes you want more and more) and the promise of becoming King, the Witch tricked Edmund into betraying his siblings. After being taken prisoner by the Witch, Edmund began to have a change of heart after witnessing how cruel and malicious she treated him and other Narnians. Edmund was rescued by Aslan’s followers and when the Witch tried to reclaim Edmund by citing the Deep Magic, which states that every traitor belongs to her, Aslan offered to give her his own life in exchange for Edmund’s. The Witch agreed, and Edmund’s life was sparred. Edmund became one of the heroes at the first Battle of Beruna when he broke the White Witch’s wand. And there on the field of battle, Aslan made him a knight. In the years that he reigned with his brothers and sisters, he was called King Edmund the Just.

PC - Edmund and his three siblings returned to Narnia when Caspian blew Susan’s enchanted horn. Once there, they used Edmund’s torch to explore the Ancient Treasure Chamber beneath Cair Paravel. The next day, Edmund challenged Trumpkin to duel to prove that he was indeed King Edmund the Just from the ancient past. While traveling to meet Caspian, Edmund was the first one in the group to believe Lucy when she claimed to see Aslan. Edmund was among those chosen to deliver Peter’s challenge of single combat to Miraz, and fought at the second Battle of Beruna.

VDT - Edmund sailed with King Caspian in his quest to find the lost seven lords. When Eustace told Edmund his story about how he became "un-dragoned," Edmund told him he believed it was Aslan who changed him. It was Edmund who made the discovery the water on Deathwater Island turned objects into gold. Edmund, along with all those aboard the Dawn Treader, had the honor of sailing to the world’s end. There, Aslan told him and Lucy they would not be returning to Narnia, and that they must learn to know him in their own world.

HHB - While in the city of Tashbaan, King Edmund warned Queen Susan of Prince Rabadash’s plans to make her his wife by force, enabling them to escape before Rabadash found out. At the Fight at Anvard, Edmund fought Rabadash and led Narnia to victory.

LB - King Edmund and the other friends of Narnia met Tirian as he was thrown through the stable door. He went "further up and further in" with the other true Narnians and we can truly say that he lived happily ever after.

Quotes:
"When I’m King of Narnia the first thing I shall do will be to make decent roads." (LWW-9)
"That’s the worst of girls. They never carry a map in their heads." (PC-9)
"Bother! I’ve left my new torch in Narnia!" (PC-15)
"Between ourselves, you haven’t been as bad as I was on my first trip to Narnia. You were only an ass, but I was a traitor." (VDT-7)
"But even a traitor may mend. I have known one that did." (HHB-15)

Comments: Lewis explains that Edmund first started to "go wrong" at a "horrid school." In LWW, Lewis says that Edmund could be spiteful. After his encounter with the White Witch, Edmund lies to the others and says that he and Lucy made up the whole thing for fun. Edmund become a changed person after Aslan saved him from the clutches of the White Witch. No one knows what exactly Aslan told Edmund after rescuing him, but it was a conversation that Edmund never forgot.
